Wadogo + Manyoya mutation sheets

These are normal mutations within #Sarabiwari. Here the mutations are shown invidually, but with existing horses it's quite common to have multiple mutations on the same horse.

Wadogo "Scales"

Wadogo causes scale like markings to appear on the coat of the horse. The pattern on these scales resembles a real species of snakes, fishes or lizards.

A heterozygous wadogo will have a minimal to medium expression of the mutation. The markings will usually concentrate in the face or neck area. In these smaller expressions the soft, wave like form of the edges is most evident, giving the illusion of the horse having actual scales.

A homozygous horse comes with a medium to maximum expression, and the markings may spread to cover nearly the entire horse, although it seems to avoid the legs and genital area.

Wadogo have manes and tails that match their coloring, and often come with golden, orange or even reddish eyes.

Wadogo shows white patterns as normal base color would, and appears under twiga. It dominates over most color patterns, such as peleng or nebula.


Manyoya "Plumage"

Manyoya is a mutation that only affects the mane and tail of a horse. The plumage is a group of bright colored hairs on the horses mane and tail and form clear patterns that vary in shape and size.

The plumage may have up to 4 different shades of color, which are usually complimentary to one another, but more flamboyant expressions have been recorded. While complimentary to the base shade of the mane and tail, the plumage will be clearly different shade, and easy to notice.

Plumages come in all shapes and sizes. Colors often blend into a gradient within the plumage, and bleeding from one layer of color to another is very common.

Manyoya is the same hetero- and homozygous, and is only hidden if covered by zehumaq.
